Hello! My name is Galina Verba. I’m the Associate Professor of Theory and Practice of Translation from Romance Languages, Assistant Director of the Center of the Spanish language and culture at KNU and Candidate of Philological Sciences.
I graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in philology as a teacher of Spanish, English and Portuguese. Translator and interpreter. I went through the 6-months internships in Havana (Cuba), Lisboa (Portugal) and worked as a translator in Cuba.
I have more than 40 years of teaching practice.
I also worked as a lecturer at Granada University (Spain) and I’m the co-writer of 5 books about translation from Spanish, co-writer of several Spanish and Portuguese phrase books and more than 30 scientific articles. Moreover, I’m a translator-freelancer from Spanish and Portuguese, providing translation at the meetings of different levels, in particular, at the level of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and international conferences.
